The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) held its Maiden Merit Awards Ceremony on the 18th of December, 2018, at Shehu Musa Ya’Adua Center. This event is part of the effort to recognize and reward Officers with exceptional performance on their jobs. The merit award was for the immediate staff of OSGF, and all Agencies under its supervision.
A total number of sixty-one (61) awards were given out to the awardees in five major categories of Long Service Award, Meritorious Service Award, Overall
Outstanding Officer Award, Outstanding Senior Staff and Outstanding Junior Staff Awards.
The SGF in his remarks charged all the awardees to continue their good works and even perform better in their Offices as they are contributing positively to nation building. He further directed that the award ceremony must be held annually.

The Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office (SWO), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, mni, and the Senior Management Staff of the Service Welfare Office held the maiden Senior Management Staff Retreat at the Federal Treasury Academy, Orozo, Abuja, from 19th – 20th February, 2019.
In compliance with the Pension Reform Act 2004 Section 9(3), the Federal Government flagged off the Group Life Assurance (GLA) Cover for its Employees in 2008, with retroactive effect from 1st July, 2004 when the Pensions Reforms Act was signed into Law, by appointing Insurance Companies and Brokers to provide Cover for its workers from 1st January to 31st December, 2008.
