The Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme is a strategic initiative to improve the welfare of Public Servants through the provision of quality and affordable houses. The programme was designed to address the acute accommodation challenges confronting Federal Civil Servants as a result of prevailing market prices of houses which has made it prohibitively expensive for Civil Servants to acquire their own houses. To ensure effectiveness in the implementation of the Programme, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has approved the review of FISH processes and procedures. Similarly, the FISH Website has been reviewed as part of efforts to ensure electronic processing of FISH applications by Off-takers and to provide up-to-date information to stakeholders. The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation recently commissioned FISH Estates in Kuje and Karu and also formally presented the Handbooks and Web-site to the public.
