The Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office (SWO), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, mni, and the Senior Management Staff of the Service Welfare Office held the maiden Senior Management Staff Retreat at the Federal Treasury Academy, Orozo, Abuja, from 19th – 20th February, 2019.
In the 2017-2020 Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP-2020), the institutionalisation of performance management is one of the prioritised areas for action. This is to be
carried out by finalizing the Performance Management System, Piloting Tools, implementing core Performance Management Policy elements,linking benefits to individual performance and introduce bonuses.
The NDE under the leadership of the Director General, Dr. Mohammed Nasir Ladan Argungu has taken steps to boost the welfare of staff of the Directorate. This is featured in the latest publication of the Service Welfare Newsletter. Click to read more.

In pursuant of this and to ensure the safety, well-being and dignity of employees at work, the National Policy on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) was developed.
