STEP BY STEP INFORMATION ON HOW TO COMPLETE THE FISH APPLICATION FORMS (APPLICATION, COOPERATIVE MEMBERSHIP & PROPERTY ALLOCATION)

A. STEP BY STEP COMPLETION OF THE FISH APPLICATION FORM

Step 1:

An intending subscriber is required to obtain the FISH Membership Form and Allocation Form from the FISH Client Centre, Block E, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation or download it from the FISH Website

– www.fish-p.gov.ng

Step 2:

Complete the forms

a) FISH Membership form

b) FISH Application Processing form and

c) FISH Property Allocation form

Step 3:

Attach all relevant documents ( e.g Passport photograph, Evidence of payment, Current payslip and other supporting documents)

Step 4:

A token of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only (N1,000 for FISH Cooperative membership and another N1,000 for Administrative Processing fee), is to be paid into any of the FISH Cooperative Accounts as listed below:

Step 5:

Return duly completed forms (a), (b) & (c) to the FISH Client

Service Centre for processing.

B. STEP BY STEP COMPLETION OF THE FISH APPLICATION FORMON THE FISH WEBSITE

Step 1:

Launch into your Browser ( e.g Firefox Mozila, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome etc) on your Computer Desktop or any other device such as mobile phone, laptop, tablet etc.

Step 2:

On the Address Bar, Type the FISH website address: www.fish-p.gov.ng

Step 3:

At the FISH website Main Menu, click on Membership to either download or fill in the 3 forms

a) Click on “Membership” for FISH membership form to download or fill online.

b) Click on “Submit” to submit.

c) Click on “FISH Application Processing Form” to download or fill online.

d) Click on “Submit” to submit

e) Click on “FISH Property Allocation Form” to download or fill online.

f. Click on “Submit” to submit

After completion and submission of the 3 Forms,Go to“Payment”to pay the N2,000 online.

C. UPON COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF FORMS BY THE CIVIL SERVANT,THE FISH DEPARTMENT WILL PROCESS AS FOLLOWS:
⦁ Profiling of Applicants into appropriate Category of House type.

⦁ Issuance of House Allocation/Offer Letters to Subscribers base on Grade level.

⦁ Processing of Mortgage of Hose Loan through Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB), Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) or Family Homes Funds (FHF).

⦁ Equity Contribution and shortfall provided by the Off-taker.Upon payment of Equity where applicable and Loan to Developer, the Off-taker takes possession of House.

⦁ Title Deed of the house issued to the Off-taker on completion of the payment for the house.

⦁ The Equity contribution or shortfall, may be offset on a mutually acceptable arrangement between the Developer and the Off-taker.

D. CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR ALLOCATION OF FISH HOUSE

⦁ Confirmation of appointment and enrolment in the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System(IPPIS);

⦁ Payment of the Sum of One Thousand Naira (N1,000)only as processing fee and completion application for house allocation form indicating the house preference and mortgage required;

Payment of a token of One Thousand Naira (N1,000)only to register as a member of the FISH Cooperative Society;

Have atleast five (5) years left in the Service; and Evidence of source of funds for the desired House.

Applicants are entitled to only one (1)House under the FISH Programme and should only apply for a House Type within the loan Threshold of their Salary Grade Level categorization.

1. What is the FISH Programme?

ANSWER:

The FISH Programme is an initiative of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to provide affordable and quality housing to Civil Servants

2. Who can participate in the FISH Programme?

ANSWER:

The FISH Programme is open to all Federal Civil and Public Servants in Nigeria.

3. Will the Government buy the house for me?

ANSWER:

No, the government will help you secure a mortgage loan to pay for the house, which you have to repay over a period of years, from monthly deductions from your salary

4. Will my mortgage loan be sent to my Bank account?

ANSWER:

No, it will be paid directly to the Developer through a Primary Mortgage Bank (PMB)and the keys to your house handed over to you.

5. For how long would I need to pay for my mortgage?

ANSWER:

The length of time you will need to repay the loan is dependent on a number off actors such as:

⦁ Your current salary(net income),

⦁ If you have an existing loan running,

⦁ Number of years before retirement, etc
